Magic teammate Hayley Darrington [Blue Earth] poses with Leslie

Hayfield’s Leslie Wilson became the school’s all time leading scorer in a 52-42 win for the Vikings (14-2 overall) over Blooming Prairie (14-3 overall) Monday night in Hayfield.

The Vikings led throughout the game and hit their free throws down the stretch to win.

The Vikings had 14 offensive rebounds on the night. “Their rebounding hurt us quite a bit,” BP head coach John Worke said.

Wilson scored 25 points and became the leading scorer when she passed Malain Evejen’s total of 1,174 points during the game.

Coaches note: Leslie has played in the Magic program for 5 years. layer, She is a very hard worker and is unfazed by the competition.  Congratulations to Leslie and her parents [who have supported her so well over the years] on reaching this significant achievement.
